CalSync Documentation

This guide explains how to add, use, and remove the CalSync app from your Zoom account.

1. How to Add CalSync to Zoom

Follow these steps to add CalSync to your Zoom account:

  1. Visit the Zoom App Marketplace: Go to CalSync on Zoom Marketplace.
  2. Click "Add": Click the Add button on the CalSync app page.
  3. Authorize the app: You will be redirected to Zoom's authorization page. Review the requested permissions and click Allow.
  4. Return to CalSync: After authorization, you will be redirected back to CalSync's Settings page. You will see a confirmation that Zoom is connected.
  5. Start using Zoom integration: When creating a booking page, enable the Auto-create Zoom meeting option. CalSync will automatically generate a Zoom meeting link for each booking.

2. How to Use CalSync with Zoom

Once Zoom is connected, CalSync can automatically create Zoom meeting links for your appointments:

  1. Create a booking page: Go to Dashboard > New Booking Page and fill in your availability settings.
  2. Enable Zoom meetings: In the booking page settings, toggle Auto-create Zoom meeting to ON.
  3. Share your booking link: Copy your booking page URL (e.g., https://calsync.site/b/your-slug) and share it with your clients.
  4. Automatic meeting creation: When a client books a time slot, CalSync automatically creates a Zoom meeting and sends the meeting link to both you and your client via email.
  5. Manage bookings: View all your bookings in the Bookings section of your dashboard.

3. How to Remove CalSync from Zoom

You can remove CalSync from your Zoom account at any time using either of these methods:

Method A: Via CalSync Settings

  1. Log in to CalSync and go to Settings.
  2. Under the Zoom Integration section, click Disconnect Zoom.
  3. Your Zoom account will be disconnected from CalSync immediately.

Method B: Via Zoom Marketplace

  1. Log in to your Zoom account and go to Zoom App Marketplace > Manage > Installed Apps.
  2. Find CalSync in the list of installed apps.
  3. Click Remove to uninstall the app.
  4. Confirm the removal when prompted.

After removal, CalSync will no longer be able to create Zoom meetings. Existing meeting links will remain valid but no new meetings will be created automatically.

Permissions Requested

PermissionPurpose
meeting:write:meetingCreate Zoom meetings automatically when a booking is confirmed
meeting:read:meetingRead meeting details to display in the CalSync dashboard

4. Data Handling After Removal

When you remove CalSync from your Zoom account (de-authorization), the following occurs:

  • CalSync immediately loses the ability to create new Zoom meetings on your behalf.
  • Your Zoom access token stored in CalSync is deleted immediately upon de-authorization.
  • Existing Zoom meeting links that were already created remain valid (they are managed by Zoom, not CalSync).
  • Your CalSync account and booking data are retained unless you explicitly request account deletion.
  • To request full data deletion, email support@calsync.site with the subject "Data Deletion Request".

5. Troubleshooting

Error: Invalid Redirect URL (Error 4700)

If you see a "4700" error during Zoom authorization, try the following:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  2. Make sure you are using the latest version of your browser.
  3. Try using a different browser or incognito/private mode.
  4. Ensure you are not using a VPN or proxy that might interfere with the redirect.
  5. If the issue persists, contact support@calsync.site.

Zoom meetings are not being created

  1. Verify that your Zoom account is connected in Settings > Integrations.
  2. Ensure the Auto-create Zoom meeting option is enabled on your booking page.
  3. Check that your Zoom account has the necessary permissions (meeting:write:meeting).
  4. Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Zoom account in Settings.
